- Melt candy coating in microwave or double boiler. Immediately spread over cake mixture evenly. It will be a thin layer, you don't want it to crack too much when you cut it. Put it in the freezer for about 1/2 hour to harden everything. Cut into squares.
Crumble cake mix in large bowl and mix in container of icing. Mix well (I find it is easiest to use hands). In saucepan over low heat or double boiler, melt almond bark. A cake pop is a cake ball on a stick, like a lollipop. Just poke a stick into each of them and then have them cool that way.
