- Once the potato cooked 3/4, add in sliced carrots. Stir and let the soup cook under low flame until the sliced carrot cooked. (approximately 10 minutes). Add salt if needed.
Reduce heat to medium-low, and stir in the egg noodles and chicken. Add carrot, celery, onion, rice, thyme, sage and pepper. Add broth; cover and bring to a boil over high heat. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook onions in oil until translucent. Stir in celery, carrots, rosemary, tarragon, thyme and parsley and cook, covered, until vegetables are halfway cooked.
